1.0 was an iPhone app. 2.0 ships the same product to the phone, the wrist, Android and the browser from one Flutter codebase and one Rust API, so a feature lands everywhere at once and the garage you fill in on the web is the garage on the bars.

motorevapp.com was designed alongside the app, not after it. Each section is a mile on the same road, the screens are real captures from the build, and the type and the signal yellow are the app’s own. Overpass, asphalt, one accent. The site and the app read as one product because they are.

Feed, articles, builds, crews, events, routes and the garage, served by the same Rust API as the phone. Public pages are real, indexable pages anyone can read without an account, which is how new riders find MotoRev before they install it.
From a SwiftUI prototype to a 2.0 on four platforms.
Sixteen months, two codebases, one product. The second one was faster to build because the first one taught us what riders actually open.

The first line of 1.x
Riders were juggling a GPS app, a group intercom, a maintenance spreadsheet and a forum, and none of them knew each other. MotoRev started as a SwiftUI app on a Node and MySQL backend to put the ride, the bike and the crew in one place.

1.0 on the App Store
Submitted in December, live on New Year’s Day. iPhone only. It proved the idea and found its first riders, and it showed where the ceiling was: a thin garage, a thin feed, no Android, and no live voice between riders.

The 2.0 rewrite begins
A clean repo. One Flutter codebase for iPhone, Apple Watch and Android. A Rust API on Postgres that also serves the web platform and the marketing site. Self-hosted LiveKit for live voice. Nothing carried over but the lessons.

Cutover day
The busiest day in the repo. The 1.0 build was retired, the feed told every rider what was coming, motorev.app went live on the new API, and the web platform opened its public pages to anyone.

Build 2.0.0 went to Apple with Protect, group rides and voice, Route Studio, the new garage and the watch app. Android follows on Google Play.

Ride and Navigate
Every ride is recorded, scored and turned into a route you can post, share or ride again. Navigation speaks the next turn and shows the posted limit and the hazards riders ahead of you reported.

MotoRev Protect
On by default and free for every rider. Add your contacts, blood type, allergies and medications before you ride. If the phone sees a hard impact, a tumble or an abrupt stop, a countdown starts. No answer, and your people get a text, a call and an email with your GPS location.

Crash detection is in beta. It uses phone sensors, cannot detect every crash, and does not replace calling 911 or a dedicated emergency device.
Rebuilt for 2.0.
